Oppo Find X9: On Wednesday, Oppo unveiled its brand-new ColorOS 16, an Android 16-based operating system. The Oppo Find X9 series will be the first to receive this new software update. A new Flux home screen, a redesigned user interface, smoother animations, and a number of AI-based photo and video features are included in ColorOS 16. It will make its debut alongside the forthcoming Oppo Find X9 series.

On Wednesday, Oppo released a brand-new Android 16-based ColorOS 16 software update for its smartphones. In global markets, including India, the upcoming Oppo Find X9 series will feature this new version of ColorOS. A new user interface, redesigned icons, and a number of new features for system apps are all part of the update. Oppo’s AI photo features are improved and a new option called Flux home screen is added to ColorOS 16.
Oppo Find X9: AI Features will be Available in ColorOS 16
In a blog post on Wednesday, Oppo teased the ColorOS 16 user interface, which is based on Android 16. The upcoming Oppo Find X9 series will be the first to feature this new version. New animations in ColorOS 16 make it easier for users to open and close apps, navigate the app drawer or global search, and switch between multiple widgets.

According to the company, ColorOS 16 makes use of the Trinity Engine and the Luminous Rendering Engine, which facilitate smooth system performance. The Trinity Engine enhances the gaming experience, while the Luminous Rendering Engine eliminates lag between animations.
Additionally, ColorOS 16 includes a brand-new optimization project dubbed “Project Breeze” that is intended to provide responsive performance. It has a new user interface, personalized wallpaper customization options, and new personalization options. Now, users can set videos or motion pictures as wallpapers and get AI suggestions for text styles that match.
For the Always-On Display (AOD) mode, ColorOS 16 adds interactive widgets and new customization options. Any folder or app icon can be resized by long-pressing it using the Flux home screen feature.
ColorOS 16 also brings significant improvements to the camera. The new AI Portrait Glow feature enhances low-light portraits, adjusting lighting and skin tone for studio-like results. Features like AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover have also been added.

The Master Cut feature, which can be used for trimming, speed control, music integration, text cropping, filters, and manual adjustments (contrast, brightness, saturation), has also been added to Oppo’s video editor.

ColorOS 16’s O+ Connect suite has also been upgraded to provide better cross-device connectivity. It now functions on both Windows and macOS. With Screen Mirroring, users can use their mouse and keyboard to control up to five phone applications simultaneously on their computer.
